This September CAM is organizing a ride to the mesmerizing “Jog falls”. This is the highest water falls in India and one of the must vist places of karnataka.

What More?

The route taken to ride to Jog falls start near the base of kodachadri (sampekatte) and passes through one of the greenest path. The traffic in this route is minimum. Jog falls can be best viewed during this season as the falls will be at it majestic most.

Ride information

Pedal from Nittur (or Sampekatte), which is near to the base of Kodachadri and ride on the periphery of linganmakki. The route which is pristine and green throughout.

The cost for the entire experience is 3500 Rs only. In case you dont have a bike, we can arrange for rented bikes for 400 – 600 Rs depending on the bike brand. 400 firefox and hercules act+ bikes. 600 for Trek, giant, canondale and merida bikes

Spread over a weekend of September, 2010 ; so no hassle of taking leave. You will be back in bangalore on sunday night.

In case you are not able to ride the complete distance, you could put your ride in our support vehicle and follow the fellow riders.

Day 1: Nittur(or Sampekatte) to Kagor to Kargal to Jog falls, via pristine beauty. The path has rolling hills and beautiful vistas, the last 5 kms is mostly downhill taking a plunge into Jog Valley.  Stay at Jog falls, so one can get enough time to visit the waterfall.

Day 2: Jog falls-Kargal-Talaguppa-Sagar. The ride is on the other side of linganmakki dam. And is through a less traffic route.

Day 2 Itinerary : Sunday Sept 19, 2010

5:00 a.mwake up and get ready
6:30 a.mstart the ride
8:00 a.mBreakfast enroute

1:00 p.mBoard the bus and start towards bangalore after lunch.
9:30 p.mReach Bangalore

We will be taking only 33 riders for this event, so hurry and register now.

The Cost of the event is 3500 Rs. This includes

a. Transportation of the rider and bike to and fro bangalore (on an ultra luxuary bus)

b. Food during the event

c. Support vehicle

d. Stay in a decent hotel at Jog falls(Non AC, sharing basis)

e. Hydration and snacks during the ride.
