Along the Green Aisle (GA-4)
Makkandur – Mandalpatti – Kalur – Madikeri – Suntikoppa
September 1, 2 2012
The most popular of the CAM rides is back, this time to celebrate the first Monsoon ride of the year.
The GA-1,GA-2 and GA-3 rides got full within a week, for the benefit of people who cannot participate in the first two GA ride, here is probably what is the last chance for this year.
Last year we repeated this route 4 times, more than 200 people registered and every ride was full. Here is another chance to relive this wonderful ride, and for the first time this is an amazing experience, a chance to ride along the green aisle.

A very very special CAM ride. Riding along the green aisle of western ghats.
Reason? - Check out the highlights
- Base at a very serene Home stay at Makkandur. This place is inside a 4-acre coffee estate.
- The mandalpatti climb – one of the challenging. The view from the top is out of the world.
- Four categories on the Day-1, the CAT-1 being the most challenging and CAT-4 being the relaxing most.
- CAT-1 includes couple of river crossing stunts, either push your bike or carry on your back
, hold on, the river is a shallow one, so no need to worry. (River crossing only if its not dangerous) - Opt for CAT-4 and you will have enough time to spend in a pure, shallow stream of running water. Apart from a relaxing 30 km cycle ride.
- Most of the route covered by trees, well inside the beautiful coorg district, No bus or lorries ply on this route (Day-1). An occasional estate jeep might be sighted at times.
- Most important of all, YUMMY home stay food
. - Expert riders on the day-2 visit “Chikli Hole Reservoir”
