Koppa – C’Magalur – Mullayanagiri – Bababudangiri

Aroma of Coffee to kick off 2011. Join CAM to ride in the heart of lush green western ghats. Chikmagalur, the coffee county has abundant places of interest around it.

Climb the highest peak of Karnataka(Mullayanagiri) and also ride to one of the most scenic places of south india (Bababudangiri).

Mullayanagiri is also the highest point between Himalayas and Nilgiris, Standing at 1913 mtrs high.

The Cost of the entire trip including stay, food and transport is 3500 rs only.

We know that some of us want to ride more and some of us want to ride less.

Easy ride – 90 kms

Expert ride – 170 kms

Note that at any point of time, you may stop the ride and get on to support vehicles. Three vehicles will be with the riders always.

In case you dont have a bike, we can arrange for rented bikes for 450 – 700 Rs depending on the bike brand. 450 firefox and hercules act+ bikes. 700 for Trek, giant, canondale and merida bikes

Day 1

Start near Koppa . The ride from here to Chikmagalur passes through forests, coffee and tea estates and beautiful valleys. When nearing chikmagalur, one can see the beautiful ranges of Mullayanagiri.

Day 1 Itinerary : Saturday January 29, 2011

5:30 a.mReach Chikmagalur
6:30 a.mStart pedalling towards Mullayanagiri - Breakfast at Kaimara
8:30 a.m Reach Mullayanagiri Peak
11:00 a.mReach BBG and ride to gali kere and manikyadhara falls
2:00 p.mReach the stream (Lunch point). And return back to Chikmagalur
4:30 p.m Reach Chikmagalur hotel, dinner and rest.

Day 2:

Start the ride from Chikmagalur, Ride towards Kaimara then climb Mullayanagiri. Climb down and then ride towards Bababudangiri. return back to Chikmagalur.

Day 2 Itinerary : Sunday January 30, 2011

5:00 a.mwake up and get ready
6:15 a.mstart the ride
7:30 a.m Breakfast Enroute - Near Belur
8:00 a.m - 9:00a.mReach Belur and visit the Hoysala temple.
10:00 a.m -11:00 a.mReach Halebid and visit the temple
12:00 noonReach Hassan and start the bus ride to bangalore, Lunch enroute.

We will be able to accommodate only 33 riders for this event, so hurry and register now.



The Cost of the event is 3500 Rs. This includes

a. Transportation of the rider and bike to and fro bangalore (on an ultra luxury bus)

b. Food during the event

c. Support vehicle

d. Stay at Chikmagalur (Non AC, double or tripple sharing basis)

e. Hydration and snacks during the ride.

The Ride will be a weekend ride, start from bangalore by bus on Friday evening around 9 p.m and will be back in bangalore around 10 p.m on Sunday.
